The product line consists of three standard models. All series are based on the same technology though designed to fit different quantity demands. While the Point of Use (PoU) model purifies on demand, the Point of Entry (PoE) model provides you with a specific volume at any given time.
To ensure the quality of the water that is purified by our systems, all are fitted with the latest monitoring technology. Unlike existing purifiers on the market, Aquablu brings safety and transparency to the water industry. The customers, as well as their dealers, can at any point check the status of their system. This allows a dealer to automate its after-market service.
All systems are based on three stages: pre-filtration, purification and remineralization. As all purifiers are based on the same technical principle, the PoU animation will be used to give a step by step explanation:
According to the raw water quality, each system can be fitted with three different membranes, reaching from Ultrafiltration to Nanofiltration and Reverse osmosis. Both the settings and membrane can be fully configured/adjusted towards the customer’s needs. Membrane filtration is a pressure driven technology with pore sizes ranging from 100 molecular weight to 5 microns.
Ultrafiltration is used for water that does not need thorough filtration like RO or NF and is commonly used to purify water supplied directly from the mains. Ultrafiltration takes out contaminants such as viruses and bacteria. The ultra membrane has the lowest percentage of reject water (10%) and the highest flow of our three membranes.
Our Nanomembrane has a smaller pore size compared to our Ultra membrane, allowing fewer contaminants to pass. Nano Filtration removes harmful contaminants, such as pesticide compounds and organic macromolecules, while retaining minerals that RO would otherwise remove. The nanomembrane has less reject water (25%) and higher flow compared to RO.
Reverse Osmosis is capable of removing up to 99%+ of the dissolved salts (ions), particles, colloids, organics, bacteria and pyrogens from the feed water. The RO membrane is our strongest membrane and therefore very effective in treating brackish, surface and groundwater. Due to the thickness of the filter, the RO membrane has the highest percentage of reject water (35%) and a lower flow compared to Nano.
